To all the mamas,
Mother's day is right around the corner and I wanted to dedicate this to all the moms. We are all part of a very special group. We all have different stories. Some are single. Some are happily married. Some have one baby and some have 5. Some never thought they would be moms and some dreamt about it for years. Some are moms to babies on Earth while others are moms to babies in Heaven. We are different but we are the same.
As mothers, we are expected to just know things. We are expected to figure it out. We are expected to balance work, children, schedules, appointments, our partners, and anything else that life throws our way. We are expected to be superheroes. "She is the mom. She will figure it out." and guess what? We usually do. But we aren't superheroes. We are human and that is ok to acknowledge. It is ok to admit it is hard. It is ok to cry in he shower. It is ok to wish for a break and also miss them so much while they aren't with you that you feel like a crazy person.
You know what is also ok? To acknowledge you are doing a good job. Give yourself a pat on the back. Say "Wow, I did great today!" Just because we are expected to do a good job, doesn't mean we can't feel good about ourselves when we do,
No matter what your situation may be, God gave you your children for a very special reason. To the mom of the strong willed child: You are the perfect mom to guide them. To the mom of the special needs child: You have the patience and love to lead them even when their are days when you feel broken. To the mom of the sensitive child: God knew you needed those extra hugs and kisses. To all the moms: YOU GOT THIS!
This Mother's Day, I welcome you all to, not only celebrate the moms in your life ,but to celebrate yourselves! You are doing a good job mama and those little eyes are looking up to you
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
